The prompt I was given for this project was to explore lighting as a primary aesthetic element (artificial, natural, soft light, 3-point, special effects lighting, etc.) within a story or concept that can be executed in a SINGLE SHOT (no cuts) while investigating the elements of the frame (setting, lighting, costume, choreography of movement, actors, hair and make-up, props, visual elements placed within frame, etc.). I was particularly assigned three-point lighting, so I had to develop a single-take scenario that utilizes this technique (key, fill, back) with available light and practicals, concentrating on one character in one interior location.
